New Jersey Natural Gas (NJNG) a subsidiary of New Jersey Resources is seeking an Environmental Analyst to be resonsible for maintaining back-office data for the Manufactured Gas Plant (MGP) remediation program of NJNG to validate, process and track all payments to vendors associated with the remediation program. Assist Manager with internal audit requests and other special projects as needed. Provide data management for the Environmental Services staff.
Major Responsibilities:
•Utilize the Indicium system to electronically update and archive all MPG project information.
•Create minor purchase orders and monitor major purchase orders to keep Project Managers informed on the funding levels.
•Assist with compiling annual waste management statistics.
•Analyze and process MGP invoices for accuracy and compliance with contract billing terms/prices.
•Assist in providing internal auditors with invoices/documents required for the audit.
•Send monthly forecast vs actual spending report to Finance.
•Assist in preparing monthly accruals to reflect outstanding invoices for all MPG sites.
•Frequently network (via email, telephone, meeting) with vendors and consulting firms to negotiate cost adjustments and obtain backup documentation.
•Assist in budget preparation to include analyzing historical data.
•Interact with vendors/consulting firms to obtain necessary information to document and prepare monthly accruals and ensure accurate invoicing.
•Prepare and maintain MGP archives and library.
•Maintain updated copies of all purchase orders and contracts.
•Maintain all current WA's, ISWA's and OSWA's and file approved electronic copies.
•Assist Project Managers and staff with special projects as needed.
Position Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in accounting or business.
•A minimum of two to four years of experience in the natural gas or utility industry, regulatory compliance is preferred.
•Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce reports.
•Strong interpersonal skills.
•Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
