Regular business hours are Monday through Friday, with an eight-hour workday flexible between 6:00 AM and 3:00 PM—closed on holidays.
Under broad guidance, the P3 Inspector is an entry-level inspector position that assists with the implementation of Best Management Practice (BMP) Programs. The P3 Inspector acts independently and serves as a technical specialist in specific fields related to source controls, such as wastewater facility inspections and sampling. Administrative work includes writing inspection reports and enforcement actions. This position requires daily interaction with numerous localities, commercial and industrial customers, and the public.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, Environmental Science, Physics, or related science as approved.
- Education equivalency equals two years of directly related professional experience for every year of education not completed. The stated experience is in addition to any experience used to meet the education equivalency.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in pretreatment and/or environmental regulation, to include inspection, permit development, monitoring permit compliance, and wastewater sampling; or experience interpreting, enforcing, and explaining environmental laws, rules, and regulations; or any combination of experience above.
- Valid driver’s license from state of residence
