Environment, Health & Safety Manager – Champion Safety. Drive Compliance. Lead with Purpose.
We are a rapidly growing steel fabrication and construction company based in Arizona, seeking an exceptional Enviornment, Health & Safety Manager (EH&S) to lead and elevate our health and safety program. This is a pivotal opportunity to step into a high-impact role within a business that’s scaling fast—right alongside the construction and infrastructure boom driving the region. If you’re a proactive leader who blends strategic insight with boots-on-the-ground execution, and you’re ready to champion a culture of safety and operational excellence, we want to connect.
Who We Are Looking For
The EH&S is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive safety, health, and environmental (HSE) program across both field and facility operations. This role ensures regulatory compliance, reduces risk, and creates a culture of proactive safety through systems, training, audits, and hands-on engagement. The ideal candidate is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) with demonstrated experience managing OSHA, EPA, and DOT requirements—and a strong ability to partner with subcontractors and field teams. Experience in Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) is highly valued.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
•HSE Program Management: Design, implement, and maintain a comprehensive safety program aligned with federal, state, and local regulations. Regularly review and update policies and procedures to reflect changing requirements and operational needs.
•Inspections & Risk Mitigation: Lead routine facility and field safety inspections. Identify hazards, enforce corrections, and drive continuous improvement through structured inspection policies and schedules.
•Incident Response & Investigation: Respond to accidents, near-misses, and safety violations. Conduct root cause analysis, lead corrective action implementation, and ensure all incidents are fully documented and followed through.
•Subcontractor Compliance Oversight: Verify subcontractor compliance with safety documentation, certifications, and procedural standards. Track expirations, conduct periodic audits, and manage required policies including safety manuals, ethics, and environmental statements.
•Training & Team Engagement: Develop and deliver training programs—including CPR/First Aid, new employee onboarding, and role-specific safety topics. Actively engage with field and shop teams to reinforce a culture of accountability and awareness.
•Administrative & Reporting Duties: Maintain SDS documentation, emissions records, and monthly/quarterly inspection logs. Track and report safety performance metrics (KPIs, OKRs), manage audit schedules, and prepare executive-level summaries as needed.
•Field Presence & Culture Building: Serve as a visible and trusted safety leader across field operations. Build strong relationships with subcontractors and staff to encourage safe behaviors and consistent compliance.
The Right Fit Has
•Certified Safety Professional (CSP), demonstrating a commitment to the highest safety standards and professional excellence.
•1+ years of experience in a safety management role, with a proven ability to lead both policy and practice across field and facility environments.
•Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations, with a track record of ensuring full compliance and successful audits.
•Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective measures.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with the organizational and reporting skills to manage inspections, emissions tracking, SDS documentation, and safety KPIs.
•Clear, confident communicator, able to influence across field, shop, and leadership environments with professionalism and clarity.
•Alignment with core values such as accountability, continuous improvement, and doing the right thing—especially when no one is watching.
•Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug test.
Preferred But Not Required:
•Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) experience, applying proactive, people-focused strategies to reduce incidents and reinforce safe practices.
•Experience managing subcontractor safety compliance, including documentation, audits, and corrective action follow-through.
•CPR/First Aid certified, with experience delivering safety training to diverse teams across operational roles.
Compensation & Benefits
