Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager
Lead the Charge. Protect the Team. Shape the Future.
Are you passionate about cultivating a culture of safety, leading with purpose, and making a real impact every day? Talon/LPE is looking for a dynamic EHS Manager to join our team and champion safety across all our offices and field operations. This is more than a compliance role—this is your opportunity to empower people, drive change, and uphold our commitment to doing the right thing, every time.
What You’ll Do
As the EHS Manager, you will be the driving force behind our company-wide health and safety initiatives. Your mission: create safe environments where our teams thrive and our projects succeed. Key responsibilities include:
•Lead with Vision: Foster a proactive safety culture built on prevention, accountability, and employee involvement.
•Train and Inspire: Develop and deliver impactful safety training programs, from new hire orientation to weekly toolbox talks.
•Stay Ahead of Compliance: Oversee the implementation of our Health and Safety Plan (HASP), ensuring alignment with OSHA regulations and client-specific standards.
•Investigate and Improve: Manage safety incidents with care—providing field support, conducting root cause analyses, and handling workers’ compensation claims with precision.
•Be a Trusted Partner: Collaborate with project managers to build and maintain site-specific safety plans and conduct regular safety audits on-site.
•Own the Process: Ensure compliance with client safety platforms (ISNetworld, Veriforce, Avetta, NCMS), maintaining up-to-date certifications and documentation.
•Hit the Road: Travel to project sites and company offices to provide boots-on-the-ground safety leadership and support.
What You Bring
•5+ years of experience managing health and safety programs in environmental, construction, or industrial settings.
•Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and a proven track record in safety audits, incident response, and risk reduction.
•Trainer certifications (or ability to obtain) in CPR, PEC, HAZWOPER (40-Hour), and other relevant safety programs.
•Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead independently and collaboratively.
•Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or related field preferred.
