The successful candidate is responsible for the overall project engineering and management function, including scope of supply, customer communication and management, engineering documents, scheduling, profitability and customer satisfaction keeping projects on schedule and in budget. The project engineer directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration and completion of engineering projects by performing the following duties:
- Reviews project scope of supply and provide contractual and technical direction and engineering sizing and selection to a drafting department for drawings and to purchasing and production for procurement of materials and final build, test and ship. Includes originating a bill of materials parts list,complete notes and procedure for construction and testing.
- Review and approve engineering design documents verses job requirements, scope of supply and sizing. Maintain document submittal and release dates as assigned.
- Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project scope and requirements. Generating and tracking commercial cost and delivery impacts and updating other departments on changes.
- Assessment of projects workload and schedule and priorities work to meet project deadlines.
- Completes technical sizing, selection of sub-supplier components and studies and prepares cost estimates to compare against the project budget.
- Lead company and customer or inspector group meetings in and out of the office by phone conference and in person. The successful candidate will be the main point of contact on all projects assigned to them.
- Verifies product performance by writing test and inspection procedures and facilitating tests.
- Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contract changes.

- Minimal travel may be expected as required by project, below 5%. Most time will be spent in the office and production facility.
- Salary employees are required to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. Extra hours are at their own discretion to meet project deadlines with given work load. Flex time is available and approved at the manager’s discretion.
- Employee performance evaluations are conducted annually and our performance metrics and qualities measured are reflected in our performance evaluation, based on an individual's Quality of Work, Task Time Efficiency, Commitment, Self-Improvement and TEAMWORK.

- Bachelors of Science or greater in Engineering
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Technical Competency: Able to learn and absorb how complex mechanical and electrical equipment work and how to grasp sizing and selecting sub-parts of that equipment
- Honesty: Not afraid to ask questions or admit when something is not known or clear and owns up to mistakes so they can be corrected and used as a learning experience.
- Detail Oriented and organized
Salary: $52,000.00 to $80,000.00 /year depending on education and experience
