Idaho Power — located in vibrant Boise, Idaho — is looking for an Enterprise System Technology Leader to join our Information Technology (IT) team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. While this position is based at Idaho Power’s downtown Boise location, we offer both flexible schedules and the opportunity to work up to 40% remote.
What does an Enterprise System Technology Leader do for us?
They manage, direct, lead, and provide technical expertise to an Information Technology team who are responsible for IT Service Delivery functions, including Service Management, Service Desk, and Compliance. These functions ensure the uninterrupted service and integrity of critical corporate applications, systems, and users.
- Ensuring enterprise systems are reliable, correctly maintained and available for Idaho Power
Company employees to use
- Making informed decisions on complex business and technical situations and support issues
- Establishing, tracking, and reporting on performance metrics for their team(s)
- Supporting approved projects, including capacity planning and resource allocation
- Preparing and managing budgets and financial forecasts
- Coaching and establishing meaningful performance reviews with direct reports
- Establishing effective internal and external working relationships with vendors, peers, and business unit personnel to solve system and application problems, maintain system reliability, and make enhancements to systems in support of corporate goals
- Providing technical consulting to functional teams as well as non-IT business units
- Identifying opportunities and implementing process improvements

- Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or equivalent field
- An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, business, or a related field
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people. There may be occasional lifts of no more than 10 lbs. The above is a summary of the primary essential functions of the position.
