In addition to our oil sands business, we have shale gas land in Northeast British Columbia, a power station in Balzac, Alberta, and interest in a wind farm in southern Alberta. This dynamic role will play a crucial role in supporting daily production operations, optimizing production efficiency, and ensuring smooth field operations. This full-time, permanent position requires a strong technical background in oil and gas production, with a preference for candidates experienced in Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD). The successful candidate will be responsible for data analysis, troubleshooting operational issues, and contributing to production optimization efforts.

Your Background

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI) and familiarity with digital reporting systems.

- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

- A proactive approach to learning and supporting innovation in production processes.

- A strong technical background in oil and gas production, with a preference for candidates experienced in Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD).

Your Role with Our Team

- Monitor, analyze and optimize production operations.

- Compile and prepare statistical reports, including monthly summaries, to support management and operational decisions.

- Assist in data collection, validation, and integration for production reporting systems.

- Frequent business trip to LongLake site (near Fort McMurray) may be required.

- Support the development and maintenance of digital tools and workflows to improve team efficiency.

- Participate in production forecasting, target setting, and well performance assessments.

- Assist in troubleshooting instrumentation and operational equipment issues, prioritizing maintenance and repairs.

- Contribute to the month-end production data validation process for accurate production accounting.
