This position will be based out of Birmingham, AL

WORK LOCATION & TRAVEL

POSITION SUMMARY

In this position you will be responsible for technical oversite of design review, construction, and startup of new natural gas fired resources within Southern Company’s retail operating footprint. This position will lead cross functional technical and design teams including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, I&C, civil and environmental SMEs along with SCS Construction and plant personnel.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Collect input from design review and lead collaborative discussions with OEMs and EPCs.

+ These effects include changes to the project's performance or schedule encompassing the timeframe from project award through some defined period post commercial operation.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

+ Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical engineering discipline preferred.

Experience:

+ Proficiency with standard analytical and business software such as Microsoft Office applications is required

+ Exhibited high proficiency in the development and delivery of information using PowerPoint and other visual messaging software.
