Our Engineering Department in Phoenix is adding an Engineer In Training to their Water/Wastewater team! This team focuses primarily on Water/Wastewater projects and this position will offer exposure and training in water/wastewater system planning, infrastructure design, and treatment design. You will be working closely with other WestLand project team members to provide support for and help design water/wastewater projects.
- Helping to create and develop written proposals. Some technical writing may also be required.
- Assisting in the development of water and wastewater design projects. This includes designing water distribution storage systems, wastewater collection systems, pumps stations, lift stations, piping and conveyance systems, and other water/wastewater system details.
- Coordinating communication and the delivery of information between WestLand, our subcontractors, and our vendors with our clients.
- Learning how to initiate and develop relationships with current and future clients and vendors.
- A bachelor's degree and/or a master's degree in a related engineering discipline.
- Must be registered, or be able to register, as an Engineer In Training (EIT).
- Previous experience in an engineering environment is preferred.
- Previous experience working with water distribution, storage, and supply engineering system designs preferred.
- Previous experience wastewater collections and pump station engineering designs preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with AutoCad software preferred
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook).
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000 annually (depending on experience and education).
