This individual will serve as the face of Maverick Power to our internal customers and interface with all departments to develop and deliver human resources policies and procedures that drive operational efficiency and engagement. You will be responsible for overseeing the organization’s employee relations, compensation, and benefits programs. Includes developing and implementing strategies to attract and retain top talent, as well as managing the budget for these programs. Works closely with senior leadership and other HR team members to ensure that the organization’s total rewards packages are competitive and aligned with business goals.
- Employee Relations:
- Lead and manage workplace investigation into allegations of misconduct, policy violations, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other sensitive employee concerns
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Legal, and business leaders to provide investigation outcomes and recommend corrective actions
- Resolve disputes and conflicts by mediating and facilitating effective communication between parties
- Maintain accurate, well-documented case files and prepare investigation reports with clear findings, conclusions, and recommendations
- Manage case intake and resolution through the ethics reporting tool
- Provide training for managers and employees on conflict resolution, communication skills, and company policies to foster a respectful and positive work environment
- Guide managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures to ensure compliance and fairness
- Act as a subject matter expert on employee relations best practices, employment law, and workplace conduct
- Drive continuous improvement of ER processes, tools, and investigation protocols
- Compliance
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws (EEO, ADA FMLA, FLSA, NLSA, etc.) and company policies
- Conduct regular reviews of HR policies and practices to ensure effectiveness and alignment with legislation and best practices
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of investigations, disciplinary actions, and compliance related matters
- Develop and deliver compliance training programs to leadership and employees
- Prepare reports and metrics for leadership regarding compliance, employee relations, and risk management trends
- Review background and drug screen concerns that fall outside of decision matrix guideline for advisement of final determinations
- Lead Affirmative Action and EEO-1 reporting
- Conduct annual review and update of compliance posters across all locations
- Other duties as assigned by leadership- Minimum of 5+ years human resources experience including a combination of employee relations and compliance
- Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent years of experience in Human Resources or related field
- Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including employment aw, Affirmative Action, and EEO compliance, and employee relations. Thorough understanding of Total Reward Programs and Benefits to employees (410k, medical, dental, vision, PTO, vacation, FMLA/LOA policies, disability, life insurance, etc.)
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to twenty-five pounds at times.
Work Environment:
May work in various settings at the Maverick Power facilities, in offices, in multiple shops, and in commercial buildings. Maintaining the same position or posture while performing tasks and sitting for prolonged periods.
