ICE ICT seeks a driven professional to support the successful execution of commercial projects across Alaska. The position involves designing, estimating, specifying, programming, and commissioning electronic access control and security camera hardware and software. Candidates must have technical knowledge of Electronic Safety and Security industry standards and hands-on field experience.
Applicants should have at least three years of verified experience in the Electronic Safety and Security (ESS) field and demonstrate proficiency in technology design and implementation.
The role requires practical experience in designing and implementing ESS systems. Responsibilities include selecting and configuring components such as cameras, door hardware, and card readers according to specific project needs.
The specialist will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving both hardware and software issues to ensure all systems operate properly.
Ensuring all ESS systems are compliant with relevant codes, standards, security policies, and regulations—including BICSI, EIA, TIA, NEC, NESC, and NFPA—is a key aspect of this role.
Expertise in configuring Video Management Systems and Access Control Systems is required. Credentials in Axis Communications, Genetec, and Verkada platforms are preferred. Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 Productivity Suite is also necessary.
- Prepare, review, and interpret single line diagrams, elevation detail drawings, and plan view drawings.
- Collaborate with the design and engineering team to develop comprehensive, turn-key project solutions.
- Generate ESS acceptance test reports and maintain accurate as-built redline documentation.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and project managers throughout all stages of the project.
- Work collaboratively with IT departments, security teams, and other stakeholders to deliver complete ESS solutions.
- Minimum of three years of verifiable experience in the field
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Successful completion of a background check
- Pass UA and pre-hire fit for duty test
- Valid driver’s license meeting ICE Services’ insurance criteria
