Position Summary
Must have 3-phase electrical experience and a strong mechanical background. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment in the facility. You must possess the ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly of a machine or equipment. This role is also responsible for the operation of machinery and electrical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on drives, backup power systems, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and other related systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintain a safe and healthful work environment by practicing safe work habits, good housekeeping procedures and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and straightedges.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Ability to use computers, read tape measures, micrometers and calipers
- Dependability in attendance, work completion, and flexibility to meet business needs
- Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Ability to work outside normal business hours/days as needed
- Able to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the company
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by interviewing operators, answering questions and requests.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
- Industry knowledge and experience, a plus
- Completion of a recognized program in an accredited university, college, or vocational school specializing in the training for mechanical / electrical engineering or the mechanical /electrical trades.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually medium to high.
