Position: Electrical Shop Manager / Electrical Technician
EES Inc. is seeking a skilled Electrical Shop Manager / Electrical Technician to oversee shop operations and deliver expert electrical services.
In this role, you will manage inventory, procurement, and safety protocols while installing, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical systems, components, and equipment. You'll interpret blueprints, utilize specialized tools, and perform diagnostics to guarantee safety, compliance, and peak performance. Responsibilities span industries including construction, manufacturing, and communications, with a focus on supporting the design and fabrication of pumping skids, heat trace systems, and related equipment. PLC programming experience is a plus.
- Installation and Assembly: Install and assemble wiring, circuits, electrical equipment, and components in accordance with technical diagrams, blueprints, and specifications.
- Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance, perform functional tests on electrical systems and equipment, and repair or replace defective parts, including circuit breakers and fixtures.
- Shop Management: Oversee inventory control, procurement processes, and adherence to safety standards to ensure efficient shop operations.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify and resolve electrical system issues using advanced testing devices to diagnose problems and optimize performance.
- Testing and Inspection: Perform comprehensive safety inspections, test electrical components, and verify compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Light Mechanical Work: Assist with basic mechanical tasks related to electrical installations and repairs.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to execute designs accurately.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of services, track progress, and document all repairs and maintenance activities for compliance and reporting.
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in hand and power tools, electrical measurement instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision to uphold safety and quality in all electrical work.
- Problem-Solving: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical and technical challenges efficiently.
- Collaboration: Effective teamwork with electricians, engineers, and cross-functional teams to complete projects on time.
- Safety Awareness: Deep knowledge of electrical safety protocols and experience working in high-risk environments.
