This position is responsible for supporting maintenance and operation of our mining and support equipment at potash operations throughout Saskatchewan. You will bring to HCC experience and competency in repairing, troubleshooting, adjusting, and maintaining electrical-powered mining equipment. You will be required to work 12-hour shifts.
- Monitor drum miners, alpine miners, conveyance equipment and other electrical-powered equipment to ensure proper performance.
- Assist maintenance team with ensuring performance of other mining and support equipment.
- Support operators, drillers and miners to ensure proper preventative maintenance is performed.
- Maintain and support equipment records and repair history.
- Support safety and continuous improvement programs.
- Take part in planning and scheduling.
- Journeyperson electrician certificate.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge and experience with underground high voltage power systems.
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of industry experience, with at least 1 year working directly in underground mining.
- Be a team player willing to participate in safety, production and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Have good judgment and ability to make decisions.
- Able to pass any pre-access screening, including a Drug and Alcohol test.
- Valid Drivers Licence.
- Must be physically fit and able to work in various mining locations.
- Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts on 7 days on, 7 days off work schedule.
