As an Electrician, you will play an important role in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems across the wellfields, processing facilities, and support infrastructure. This includes work on pump stations, control panels, power distribution systems, and process instrumentation. The role requires a solid understanding of industrial electrical systems, including low and high-voltage equipment, and a strong commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Experience working in ISR or other mining operations is highly desirable. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Install, repair, and maintain low and high-voltage electrical systems, equipment, and components.
· Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and instrumentation.
· Diagnose malfunctioning systems, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdowns.
· Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate installation and troubleshooting.
· Ensure compliance with company safety policies and environmental regulations.
· Work on electric motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), motor control centers (MCCs), PLC’s and power distribution systems.
· Assist with commissioning and decommissioning of mine infrastructure and systems as required.
· Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports and maintenance logs.
· Respond to emergency breakdowns and be part of the on-call rotation.
· Support project work, including upgrades, installations, and expansions of electrical systems.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure reliable operation of the mind and processing facility.
· This is an Hourly position that involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in all work-related activities.
· Must be able to recognize hazardous conditions, follow company safety policies and practices, and engage in a strong safety culture.
· Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders.
· Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
· The successful candidate will be required to submit to mandatory drug and alcohol testing prior to employment.
· Strong knowledge of electrical safety codes (NEC, CSA, MSHA)
· Familiarity with SCADA and PLC systems is a plus
· Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing VFDs, switchgear, and control systems.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
