- Ability to troubleshoot, test, and repair systems up to 480V and above.
- Proficiency with NFPA 70E safe work practices and electrical drawings/schematics.
Job Summary:
NAES is seeking skilled Electrical Technicians for contract opportunities in Texas supporting power generation facilities. Technicians will be responsible for troubleshooting, testing, repair, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on motors, switchgear, relays, and transformers.
- Test and calibrate electrical equipment and protective devices.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and single-line drawings.
- Support outage and routine maintenance activities.
- Follow all site safety practices, including lockout/tagout and NFPA 70E standards.
- Proficiency with medium- and low-voltage electrical systems and components.
- Knowledge of protective relays, switchgear, and control systems.
- Ability to use electrical test equipment, including multimeters, insulation testers, and relay test sets.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, and work in confined spaces.
- Lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment.
- Work in hot, cold, and noisy environments as required.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school preferred.
- 5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in power generation
