Foran Mining Corporation (TSX:FOM) is a forward-thinking mining company redefining the industry. We are seeking an Electrical Supervisor to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site working a 7/7 rotation.

As part of the Maintenance Team, the Electrical Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the safe execution of electrical maintenance activities, ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of electrical systems and equipment. Their primary role includes supervising a team of electricians, coordination of maintenance tasks, conducting inspections, and troubleshooting electrical issues.
Job Responsibilities:
•Lead and oversee a team of electricians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the successful execution of electrical maintenance tasks.
•Coordinate electrical maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance, to keep electrical systems and equipment in optimal condition.
•Diagnose electrical issues and malfunctions, and develop effective solutions to address them promptly, minimizing downtime.
•Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and electrical regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
•Regularly inspect electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
•Collaborate with engineering and management teams to plan and execute electrical projects, upgrades, and installations.
•Assist in budgeting and cost control for electrical maintenance and projects, optimizing resources and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
•Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for reference and reporting purposes.
•Provide training and development opportunities to electricians, keeping them updated on best practices, new technologies and safety measures.
•Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and production, to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
•Be prepared to respond to electrical emergencies, such as power outages or equipment failures, and implement immediate corrective actions.
•Participate in internal and external audits related to electrical systems and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
•Implement environmentally responsible practices in electrical operations, such as energy conservation and waste management.
•Maintain effective communication with team members, management, and other stakeholders to report progress, discuss challenges, and coordinate activities.
Job Qualifications and Skills:
•Journeyperson Electrician certification
•3–5 years in mining or heavy industry in a leadership role
•Strong knowledge of mining electrical systems and equipment
•Solid understanding of electrical safety and enforcement
•Skilled in diagnosing and resolving electrical issues
•Able to plan and manage maintenance projects within budget
•Experienced in training and mentoring electricians
•Proficient with data and reporting software
•Knowledge of mining electrical codes and compliance standards
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive starting salary range of $105,000 - $115,000/year based on experience and qualifications. Annual discretionary short term incentive award at a percentage of base salary, rewarding exceptional contributions to team and company success.
