Job Summary
PIC Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to manage the construction activities. The Electrical Superintendent reports directly to the Site Manager, and plays a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of projects, that drive significant growth and innovation, within the organization and serve our client’s needs. The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for scheduling, coordinating and supervising the Electrical craft employee activities, and may involve supervising one or more trade groups, including electricians, plumbers, sheet metal workers, and similar within the construction industry.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities•Plan and supervise Assistant Superintendent (on larger projects) and/or craft activities such as determining method of construction, workforce levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.
•Maintain liaison with other departments such as Material Control, Purchasing, Quality Control, and Engineering to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, support craft activities and project schedule.
•Coordinate assigned work for different crafts, company departments, or other contractors.
•Assist the Labor Relations Department in maintaining communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required workforce, and as necessary the labor approach for the projects assigned.
•Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
•Maintain liaison with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule. Experience assisting in resolving construction problems such as lack of productivity and work interfaces is required.
Job Requirements
•Prior experience as Construction Superintendent (for civil work), Structural Superintendent, Mechanical Superintendent, or Electrical Superintendent.
•Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and demonstrated ability to control and supervise large groups.
•Prior experience with Commercial or Industrial project scopes of at least $15M value.
•A valid driver’s license in the US and a valid passport required.
•Willingness and ability to travel; travel is estimated at 70+%
•Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
•Strong history of leading, motivating and mentoring cross-functional teams.
•Strong knowledge of construction processes, laws, standards, and regulations
•Successful background maintaining high safety standards and delivering quality outcomes.
•Proficiency in developing and implementing project strategies, plans, and budgets.
•Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
Physical Requirements
•Duties require walking, standing for extended periods, crawling, stooping, sitting, climbing vertical and inclined ladders and stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
Education / Experience
•High School Diploma required
•Advanced education in Construction or Project Management a plus
•8+ years prior work experience in Construction industry required
