The Electrical Maintenance Specialist works in a job shop environment for repairs to power plant equipment which may include, pumps, fans, motors and breakers.
- Applying knowledge of electric to machines and tools, including their design, use, repair and maintenance
- Performing testing and inspections of equipment from schematics and drawings to identify faults
- Able to take technical classes on 480, 4160 and 13kv breakers repairing and apply it to job specifications
- Ability to perform testing and repairs to 480, 4160 and 13kv breakers.
- Perform routine maintenance on existing shop equipment
- Forming reports on work assessments and job completions
At least two year technical degree in related field from an accredited school or equivalent work experience.
- Possess a thorough working knowledge of power plant equipment operations
- Ability to read Ladder logic and program PLC’s
- Possess knowledge of arithmetic, algebra and their applications, good reading and communication skills, and be able to read and interpret electrical prints and other power plant type drawings
- Able to use a variety of electrical testing equipment
- Able to work from specifications, detailed drawings, and blueprints to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to maintain and repair electrical equipment following accurate tolerances.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without Sponsorship
