The Electrician plays a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems within our client’s facilities. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and systems to support operations. The Electrician must adhere to safety protocols, troubleshoot electrical issues, and collaborate with other team members to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Install, inspect, test, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in compliance with mining regulations and safety standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and implement appropriate solutions promptly to prevent disruptions to mining activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and hazards related to electrical work.
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards governing electrical work in mining environments.
- Collaborate with other mining personnel, including engineers, technicians, and supervisors, to coordinate electrical work and support overall mining operations.
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritize tasks, and address emergent issues promptly.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members regarding electrical systems and equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and replacements.
- Generate reports detailing electrical maintenance tasks, findings, and recommendations for improvement.
- Document equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and schematics to facilitate troubleshooting and future maintenance.

- Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program and journeyman electrician certification/license required. Or reciprocal with the state of Alaska.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience working as a journeyman electrician in an industrial setting.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems and diagnosing faults.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effectively manage tasks and responsibilities without direct oversight
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Willing to travel Across the state of Alaska.
