Journeyman Electrician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical systems, with minimum 5 years experience. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites.

Offering Per Diem of $125.00 per day. Connect with the local union jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with NEC standards.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of electrical systems.

- Perform troubleshooting on electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment.

- Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.

- Renovate existing electrical systems to enhance functionality or efficiency as needed.

- Ensure the safe handling of hand tools and power tools while adhering to safety protocols on job sites.

- Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues or necessary upgrades.

- Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices or less experienced electricians.

Qualifications

- Valid Journeyman/Journeywoman Electrician license or equivalent certification required. Preferred Nebraska Electrical Journeymen License.

- Drug test is required.

- Proven experience as an electrician in both residential and industrial settings.

- Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.

- Familiarity with low voltage systems is a plus.

- Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings effectively.

- Experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of site safety practices.

- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to electrical work.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
