The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repair in accordance with the National Electrical Code and local regulations. This position involves designing, building and energizing solar and generator systems on residential and commercial projects.

•Read blueprints, technical diagrams and equipment manuals
•Review and sign electrical design documentation for permitting and construction purposes
•Planning, initiating, and tracking labor and materials for electrical projects
•Install electrical equipment, support structures, conduit and wiring using hand tools and power tools
•Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices
•Follow state and local building regulations based on the National Electrical Code
•Direct and train assigned employees to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring or equipment

•Managing tools and materials: ensure the proper materials are available for the project, and maintaining jobsite and vehicle organization.

•Majority of work setting will be outside, exposed to a variety of weather conditions
•Majority of the projects will be performed on roofs of varying heights and pitch
•Exposure to electrical currents and live electrical wires
Physical demands
•Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts
•Able to stand for long periods, crawl in tight spaces, kneel, squat, climb ladders, walk on roofs
•Able to frequently lift and carry up to 35-50lbs, occasionally lift and carry up to 85lbs
Travel required
•Travel to job location, sometimes multiple in a day
•Occasional overnight stay for out-of town jobs
Required education and experience
•Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an electrician
Certification/Licensing requirements
•Must hold and maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license
•Must be insurable by our insurance company
•Must hold and maintain Oregon Electrician’s license
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
