Location: Fenton, Missouri & with some travel throughout St Louis.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday (8-hour shift), occasional Saturday. Selling isn’t always an 8 to 5 job.
A minimum of 3 years’ Residential Sales experience is required, with Residential Sales experience in generators, electrical service, parts facility, manufacturer or rep firm with electrical products acceptable.

How You'll Make an Impact:
As a Potts Residential Electrical Estimator, you will play a key role in our company's growth and customer satisfaction. This unique role focuses on residential services, residential generators sales, and helping customers find the best solutions for their needs. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing written estimates and information regarding installations, and identifying residential sales opportunities related to home services, generators and other electrical projects. You’re going to get some leads, but you will also be expected to generate leads by attending Chamber functions, networking events, lead generating mixers & home & garden shows., etc.
This is a sales position, the installation team will install what you sell
Requirements:
What You'll Bring:
A minimum of 3 years’ residential sales experience is required, with Residential Sales experience in electrical industry -generators, electrical service, parts, supplies & pieces.*
•Previous outside residential sales experience - not construction or large industrial or commercial projects. This position is primarily business to client facing.
•Networking comfort is required, expected to generate leads by attending Chamber functions, networking events, lead generating mixers, home & garden shows or similar functions, etc.
•Strong presentation skills, a positive and fluent communication style, and outstanding phone etiquette are required.
•Able to comfortably converse with homeowner’s about sales contracts, financing, scheduling and answering questions.
•Ability to listen, understand residential client concerns, and build rapport quickly, excellent communication and written skills.
•Comfort & proficiency with email, smartphones, tablets, apps and computers.
•Familiar with MS Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint plus Adobe.
•Working knowledge in residential electrical residential sales practices and having a working knowledge of codes and safety measures.
•Ability to prioritize workload and maintain good appearance.
•Dependable and self-motivated with desire to work year-round.
•Able to handle Texas winters & summers.
•Experience with estimating and residential sales. Specific experience in residential generators and electrical domain, useful.
•Current Journeyman Electrician, or Master Electrician license welcome, but not required.

What You'll Do:
•Identify and pursue Residential Sales opportunities for residential generator and electrical projects.
•Some leads will be generated by Potts, but you will still need to identify residential sales opportunities as self-starter.
•Spend time outside the office prospecting new customers and connecting with existing clients.
•Prepare, educate, and make recommendations to homeowners with detailed and accurate project estimates on generators and electrical systems.
•Consultative sales approach is required.
•Work with residential inspectors, suppliers and co-workers to ensure correct project work while abiding by all codes.
•Communicate effectively with residential customers and other Potts Electric Team Members to complete alignment at any time during the process, including any issues, concerns, or outstanding items.
•Work with coworkers which may be assigned to work with you.
•Must hold a valid driver's license with an issue date of at least five years prior to the date of this application
