As a member of the technical staff, the electrical engineer is responsible for the design of new electronic products up to full production. This includes specification reviews, development program timelines and reports, design reviews, simple mechanical designs, documentation packages, preproduction builds and transfers to production. This engineer will also be responsible for technical support of some mature electronic products currently in production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Design new ways to use electrical power to develop or improve products;
· Perform detailed calculations to develop manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications;
· Direct the manufacture, installation, and testing of electrical equipment to ensure that products meet specifications and codes;
· Investigate complaints from customers, evaluate problems, and recommend solutions;
· Work with project managers on production efforts to ensure that projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budget;
· Design electronic components, software, products, or systems applications;
· Develop electrical schematics, P&ID, and installation drawings
· Design PLC and HMI based control systems for oilfield applications;
· Design, manufacture, and testing of electro-hydraulic components, equipment, and systems;
· Analyze customer needs and determine the requirements, capacity, and cost for developing an electrical system plan;
· Develop maintenance and testing procedures for electronic components and equipment;
· Evaluate systems and recommend design modifications or equipment repair;
· Inspect electronic equipment, instruments, and systems to make sure they meet safety standards and applicable regulations;
· Plan and develop applications and modifications for electronic properties used in parts and systems in order to improve technical performance

B.S. in electrical engineering. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electronic design with electronic circuit technology assembly processes (analog, digital and/or medium voltage design).
Experience in design, repair and analysis of electronic systems. Must have exposure to electrical engineering design principles and methodologies. Experience in heavy equipment is a plus. Experience with ATEX, IECEx, UL, CSA, Zone II Standards is a plus.
Administrative Experience, Computer knowledge in AutoCad, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Experience with interpreting Engineering drawings and measurements. Autodesk Inventor experience is a plus. Beckhoff TwinCat programming is a plus.
