Farmers Electric Cooperative is seeking a full-time Engineer. This position will have a wide variety of responsibilities including SCADA, distribution automation, system design, planning, distributive generation, joint use installations, inspections, and more.
If you’re looking for a position that will allow you to oversee a multitude of challenging projects and processes rather than specializing in one area, Farmers EC is the environment you are after. Our Engineers are cross trained and exposed to an array of electric utility industry tasks. Our work structure keeps the work interesting, challenging, and fresh because no two days are the same.
The successful applicant must be self-motivated, have problem solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university is required. Experience in an electric utility is desired but not required. A higher level of education or certification is a plus. The starting salary will be based on experience and qualifications.
We also offer paid training, health insurance, generous paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, a retirement pension plan, and a 401(k) plan. This job is primarily based out of our Greenville, Texas office. This position typically works Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM with occasional overtime and travel less than 10%.
