Matalco Canada Inc. operates a manufacturing facility in Brampton, Ontario and is seeking qualified a Electric Engineer. As an Electrical Engineer, you will primarily be responsible for all aspects of electrical engineering at the Matalco (Brampton) facility, including managing the day-to-day activities of the Electricians.

Recommends improvements to processes and procedures and reports all accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions to immediate supervisor. Ensures 100% compliance with all safety procedures.
2. Committed to deliver quality products to our customers, carries out responsibilities in accordance with Quality and Environmental policies, procedures, and objectives to produce quality work products and contribute to and promote an environmentally conscious workplace. Recommends improvements to processes and procedures.
3. Provides input into the development of necessary procedures, systems and controls to satisfy internal and external stakeholders. Responsible for overall reliability of electrical equipment. Provides 24/7 on call maintenance support services to the plant to ensure 100% availability of equipment capable of producing prime quality products.
4. Coaches and develops employees with ongoing Performance Management to build a unified team. Directly supervises and manages the maintenance team members, including scheduling work assignments and distributing PM’s for completion.
5. Implements departmental policies and procedures to increase performance and efficiency within the plant. Manages various process improvement projects as required to meet performance targets.
1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical or automation engineering, or equivalent experience.
2. 5 years of experience in electrical or automation engineering in an industrial environment.
3. Proven ability to demonstrate leadership skills, mentoring and developing employees. Leadership experience is essential for this role.
