Electrical Designer

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and drafting electrical systems for various projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and proficiency in CAD software to produce high-quality schematics and layouts.

Duties

- Develop detailed electrical designs and layouts for projects using AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, and other CAD software.

- Create and modify schematics for electrical systems, ensuring adherence to NEC standards.

- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.

- Utilize Bluebeam and NavisWorks for project coordination and design reviews.

- Conduct system design analysis to optimize performance and efficiency of electrical systems.

- Draft documentation for construction, including wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, and installation instructions.

- Support the integration of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) into system designs.

- Participate in site visits to assess existing conditions and gather data for design modifications.

- Ensure all designs comply with safety regulations and industry best practices.

Experience

- Proven experience as an Electrical Designer or similar role in the construction or engineering field.

- Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Creo, with a strong focus on electrical drafting.

- Familiarity with electrical engineering concepts including layout design, electrical wiring, system design, and schematics.

- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot design issues effectively.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $47.00 - $53.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.50 per week
