About the Role
A qualified electrical design/drafter with 3D knowledge/experience who can work under the direction of a senior designer to plan and carry out technical assignments of substantial variety and complexity. Resolves problems, interprets specifications, investigates design difficulties. Participates in planning required to achieve prescribed objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Support senior personnel with the execution of projects including the design & drafting of plans, preliminary estimations, and details with the use of guidelines.
•Proactively manage deadlines and ensure appropriate communication is provided (to relevant parties) when schedules and conflicts arise.
•With supervision and proper use of markups, generate all electrical engineer deliverables as required per project phase (single line diagrams, layouts, schedules, schematics, interconnection wiring diagrams, BOM, details etc.)
•3D Modeling of Electrical Equipment for model, plans and layouts.
•Maintain effective and continuous communication with the entire project team and other disciplines.
•Reporting any existing or potential safety and quality nonconformities to the senior designer and/or electrical lead
•Ensure Client specific and/or EPFC’s General Specifications and industry regulations are followed for all projects.
•Ensure adherence to company engineering policies, procedures, and systems for the electrical group.
•Ensure a positive team approach with all EPFC divisions.
Your QUALIFICATIONS
•Technical school graduate with a minimum of 0 to 3 years of design/drafting experience in Western Canada
•Conventional and unconventional oil and gas and manufacturing experience would be an asset.
•Proficient in current releases of AutoCAD and CAD Worx, with strong 3D knowledge or experience
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with the ability to work effectively with all clients, both internal and external
•Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities; Excellent ability to coordinate and prioritize work and meet short deadlines.
