Position Overview

As our Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in developing electrical system designs, preparing technical drawings, and supporting project teams from concept through completion. You’ll work closely with project managers, field staff, and clients to deliver safe, code-compliant, and cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

•

Design and draft electrical systems for electrical construction projects

•

Prepare detailed schematics, layouts, and technical documentation

•

Ensure designs comply with all relevant codes, standards, and client requirements

•

Collaborate with project managers and field teams to resolve design challenges

•

Support estimation and project planning with accurate material and labor take-offs

Qualifications

•

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required)

•

2+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably within contracting or construction

•

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software

•

Strong knowledge of NEC, local codes, and industry standards

•

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

•

EIT or PE license
