Electrical Apprentice

Section 1 – Position Summary

Under the on-site supervision of a Master Electrician or Journeyman Electrician, this position performs routine electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair duties requiring a basic knowledge of industrial electrical/electronic theory.

Must become knowledgeable of medium and high voltage equipment related to water and wastewater treatment and production equipment which may include: ozone generators, chemical equipment, air compressors, valve actuators, motors, variable frequency drives, and various other equipment. Individual is expected to learn how to identify electrical hazards, troubleshoot and remedy problems using independent judgment.
