The apprentice electrician is responsible for troubleshooting, building, installing, and maintaining various residential, commercial, and industrial electrical work in a variety of conditions. This will include operating equipment, or other duties as assigned. All employees must act with urgency, accountability, and flexibility to ensure Wescom’s core values are always followed.

- Follow required processes required to document daily work completed (i.e. daily field tickets, POs, JSA, Pre-trip inspections, etc.).
- Take pride in maintaining personal use of company property.
- Perform quality Electrical and Control work, including troubleshooting and maintenance, per NEC, using client request and Wescom standards as guidance.
- Plan workload, communicate, and direct such work to other electricians and apprentices on locations.
- Comply with all state, federal, and tribal regulations related to licensing requirements for electrical.
- Maintain open and clear communication with clients, fellow employees, and management.
- Be an active safety role model and follow all safety requirements.

- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in a variety of construction settings.
- Ability to reach, stretch, and pull cables while bending, reaching, and twisting.
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions without complaining.
- Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings of at least 2 years.
The Apprentice Electricians report to the Client Services Managers or Foreman of their area. There are several career paths available to the right individual including moving up to foreman, Client Services Manager, over to the Industrial Controls team, safety, or other operations. Wescom believes in people and is always willing to train the right person.
