This is a locally-based position in Corpus Christi, TX. There is no per diem associated with this position.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our electrical team as an Apprentice Electrician. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within an industrial manufacturing environment. The position is designed to support your continued training and development as you work toward becoming a fully certified electrician.
- Work under the direct supervision of licensed electricians to support installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in an industrial setting.
- Assist with installing wiring, outlets, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, junction boxes, and conduit.
- Perform entry level tasks such as cutting, bending, and running conduit; measuring, cutting, and bending wire; and wiring outlets and switches.
- Aid in diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, wiring issues, and power outages.
- Support setup, breakdown, and testing of electrical equipment and machinery to ensure safe and proper operation.
- Perform minor repairs and adjustments as directed by supervising electricians.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support company objectives.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Some electrical experience is required (construction, maintenance, or manufacturing environment).
- Apprenticeship experience or enrollment in an electrical training program is a plus.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Willingness to learn and follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb ladders for extended periods of time.
- Lift, carry, and move equipment and materials up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Work in varying conditions including hot, cold, confined, or elevated spaces.
- Perform repetitive motions such as cutting, bending, pulling wires, and using hand/power tools.
- Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, hard hats, gloves, and steel-toe boots as required.
