Responsibilities:
POSITION SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diversified is currently hiring an EH&S Specialist for Air. This position is in any of our Central Region offices in LA, NM, OK, and TX and will have an opportunity for hybrid remote work, after an initial time period. This role will be responsible for facilitating compliance with applicable Environmental, Health, Safety, Regulatory and local, state, and federal laws/regulations and DEC internal policies and procedures.
Special focus to be placed on:
•Providing support for air programs, permitting, and compliance. Air quality experience in one or more of DEC’s Central Region operating states (LA, NM, OK, TX, and WY) is preferred.
•Developing and implementing air emissions programs, with emphasis on overall air emissions management, air permitting, greenhouse gas, reporting, and associated regulations.
•Fostering compliance with GHGRP, NSPS, NESHAP, and other regulatory regimes, as well as DEC’s voluntary initiatives.
•Maintaining positive working relationships with regulators. Meeting with regulators during site visits.
•Providing guidance and support to field operation teams.
•Performing field visits to verify data, working with operation teams to attain compliance, provide training, and managing projects.
•Supervising multiple consultants effectively to increase quality and manage costs.
•Making recommendations after anticipating work/project requirements and considers business impact and risks.
•Being self-directed and self-motivated while keeping leadership regularly apprised of progress.
•Proactively supporting and/or leading EH&S initiatives that support the business and the organization's core values and corporate strategies.
•Contributing to and influencing team priorities. Seeking the ideas and opinions of others and fostering trust. Successfully mentoring those less experienced.
Qualifications:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
•Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental, Life or Earth Sciences, or Engineering is preferred. Other four-year degrees will be considered with applicable experience.
•Two to five years of experience in oil and gas, with experience in air emissions preferred.
•Experience with air emissions calculation methods is required. Experience with ProMax software is preferred.
•Solid understanding of oil and gas operations and implications for compliance with air regulations.
•Understanding of environmental permit and regulation interpretation and application to operations.
•Effective project management, business writing, presentation, training and leadership capabilities.
•Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
•Demonstrate a willingness and ability to share expertise.
