Job Summary
The Economic Inclusion (EI) Manager will be responsible for the overall enterprise initiative to include the internal/external metrics, reporting and management of the supplier economic inclusion initiatives at NiSource. This role provides influence through collaboration with enterprise functions, supply chain teams and economic inclusion management. This role will serve as a strategic advisor to business partners to support business development and budget expectations. This role will own the tracking, recording and reporting of the EI goals and KPIs is fundamental to this role. This role will strategically determine external partnership collaborations based on the needs of well-defined EI business categories.
Essential Functions
- Develop insights and strategy through internal and external data management
- Develop new business initiatives to match NiSource spend
- Manage projects and business development while meeting budget expectations
- Monitor supplier progress and provide structured support to help them achieve NiSource strategic objectives
- Manage strategic economic inclusion initiatives including robust supplier development programs and EI Supplier Intake Process
- Manage process of Supply Chain Diversity status identification and maintenance to ensure integrity of Initiative
- Develop and manage Economic Inclusion performance metric across the enterprise and lead the multi-tier program and ensure timely and accurate reporting/ Manage and communicate the timely and accurate EI performance dashboard
- Serves as thought leader to support Supply Chain Economic Inclusion initiatives and enable strategic sourcing models to include EI and real-time reports that accurately reflect goal performance by business function
- Develops and owns accurate data and metric scorecards provided to each business partner to track goals
- Provide support to EI suppliers through the onboard process into NiSource supply chain
- Include business partners in external outreach opportunities to engage with EI supplier community
- Influencing and leading leaders both internally and externally
- Acts as a resource for Supply Chain teams seeking clarity on data availability, use policies, and quality expectations.
- Monitors data quality KPIs and develops scorecards and reporting mechanisms to support transparency and accountability.
- Identifies opportunities to leverage technology for supply chain operational efficiencies
- Required Qualifications For Position
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Engineering, Business, IT, Finance or related field
- 7-9 years 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Operational Finance, Supplier Diversity Programs or another related function or discipline- Experience working independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Experience in shifting priorities while maintaining a high degree of organization and control
- Experience working with external suppliers and building relationships with suppliers.
- More than 5 years of experience in supplier management or supply chain management
- 4-6 years Leadership Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of governance performance reporting, KPI development, and quality assurance tools.
- Familiarity with supply chain systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa) and enterprise reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Proficiency in project management and process documentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work across technical and business teams.
- Preferred Qualifications and Capabilities
- Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent certification
- Experience working independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
- Experience in shifting priorities while maintaining a high degree of organization and control
- Experience working with external suppliers and building relationships with suppliers.
- Robust quantitative and analytics skills; ability to provide data-driven insights and recommendations
- Preferred Additional Qualifications for Position
- Certified Professional Supply Management
- Direct Material &/or Indirect Sourcing and contract negotiation experience

Salary Range*:
$110,200.00 - $165,300.00
- The salary offered to a candidate is based on several factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills, job-related knowledge, and relevant experience, as well as internal pay equity.
