Role Summary: You will manage the East Region, and you will support Topeka, Manhattan, and Overland Park. You will report to the Director, Engineering. You will have 3+ years of a combination of leadership and engineering. You will be located in Overland Park and work a hybrid schedule.
- Pipeline design, construction, operation, and maintenance projects
- Distribution and Transmission integrity management programs
- Measurement, regulation, and control facilities
- Gas-conditioning and compressed natural gas facilities
- Pressure vessels
Supervise and direct employees engaged in engineering services, which may include:
- System expansions and relocations
- New distribution systems
- System map maintenance
- Load analysis
- Pipeline facilities record keeping
- Environmental activities
- Integrity Management program audits
- DIMP and TIMP program reviews, risk analysis, and assessments
Provide technical and engineering assistance to other departments, management, governmental and regulatory agencies, company attorneys, industry groups, customers, and others on matters related to projects and operations, policies, procedures, contracts, material selection, and governmental/regulatory rules, regulations, and activities.
Research, analyze, prepare, and/or approve information which may include:
- Pipeline systems design criteria
- Pipeline risk modeling
- Pipeline and hazardous material safety admin (PHMSA) regulatory changes
- Structural and/or material failure analysis
- Policies and procedures
- Contracts
- Technical and governmental reports
- Material selection
- Planning budgets
Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Bachelor's Degree engineering plus job-related experience as follows:
Experience with and thorough knowledge of pipeline and related facility design, construction, operation, and maintenance projects; measurement, regulation, and control facilities; gas-conditioning and compressor facilities; and pressure vessels.
Experience with application of math, algebraic formulas, calculus, and statistics.
Experience in use and function of office equipment applicable to position including microcomputers and applicable software.

Experience reading and interpreting governmental regulations, codes and standards, manuals, policies, procedures, contracts, specifications, and various reports and correspondence.
Experience researching, composing, and preparing contracts, engineering studies, policies, procedures, reports, and technical correspondence.
Experience supervising, directing, and/or delegating work assignments. Knowledge of personnel policies and procedures.
Experience examining, testing, and evaluating new products, materials, and processes.
Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Requires travel to other company offices and facilities and to job sites.
Minimum Registered Professional Engineer – based on job responsibilities; VP approval required if not obtained.
Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out of doors.
