Position overview
The Ecommerce Associate is a key contributor to Metal Supermarkets' ecommerce performance. To be successful in this role, you will need to be customer service-oriented, detail-oriented, a natural problem-solver, a strong communicator, and highly motivated.
The Ecommerce Associate will provide ongoing support and customer service to customers and store locations to assist in processing orders, resolving disputes, and expediting shipments to online customers.
Major responsibilities
•Liaise with stores across Canada and the United States for order fulfillment and updates.
•Assist in delivering an exceptional online customer experience, which includes:
•Responding to customer support emails, online live chats, and phone conversations.
•Coordinating and timely processing of online returns.
•Investigating possible delays in shipments, opening investigations, and following up with store locations.
•Working with stores to update systems and communicate order status.
•Help update and maintain accurate pricing on the website.
•Perform analysis of competitor pricing and product offerings.
•Research product specifications and collaborate with internal teams.
•Assist in ensuring accurate information on all items on the site, including descriptions, shipping restrictions, pricing, and any enhanced product content.
•Assist in website user testing and IT enhancements.
•Evaluate and execute special projects as assigned.
•Appropriately prioritize workload to ensure the timely posting of new products.
Skills and qualifications
•3+ years of experience in a directly related ecommerce role.
•Keen attention to detail to ensure completely accurate information for hundreds of products.
•Strong analytical skills, with experience using numbers to deliver insights and actions using Excel, Google Analytics, and other tools.
•Clear understanding of current and emerging ecommerce best practices.
•Proficient communication skills.
•Strong working knowledge of MS Excel or similar tools.
•Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to multitask.
•Exceptional organizational skills, with strong attention to detail and time lines.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
