Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Hanger to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing drywall in residential and commercial settings, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople.

Responsibilities

•

Install drywall sheets on walls and ceilings, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening.

•

Measure, cut, and shape drywall panels to fit around fixtures, doors, and windows.

•

Apply joint tape and compound to seams, corners, and screw holes for a smooth finish.

•

Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure timely project completion.

•

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.

•

Perform repairs on damaged drywall, including water damage restoration as needed.

•

Assist in remodeling projects by installing new drywall layouts according to design specifications.

•

Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.

Requirements

•

Proven experience as a Drywall Hanger or similar role in the construction industry.

•

Strong skills in blueprint reading and understanding of construction schematics.

•

Familiarity with various construction practices including frame carpentry, fixture installation, construction plumbing, and stucco application is preferred.

•

Ability to perform door hanging tasks effectively.

•

Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques is a plus.

•

Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.

•

Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

•

Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods during installation processes.
