Job Summary:
The AutoCAD Technician is responsible for producing and maintaining technical drawings using AutoCAD, supporting our design and PM teams with utility layout plans. The ideal candidate will follow company standards while creating precise, high-quality design documents.
Key Responsibilities:
•Create and revise AutoCAD drawings for a variety of utility design projects
•Translate field data, utility information, and project notes into detailed plans and exhibits
•Maintain drawing accuracy, organization, and compliance with internal standards
•Incorporate utility maps and infrastructure references into plan sets
•Assist with redlines, design changes, and updates from project managers
•Coordinate with team members to resolve discrepancies or questions
•Support document control and file management efforts
•Assist in the production of exhibits, disclosures, and maps as needed
•Perform additional duties to support project workflow and team efficiency
Required Skills & Qualifications:
•Familiarity with AutoCAD and drafting techniques
•Excellent organizational and time management skills
•Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
•Effective communicator and collaborative team member
•Self-starter with the ability to work independently
•Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
•AA in CAD Design or at least 2 years of drafting experience
•Experience reading civil, engineering, or architectural plans
•Knowledge of XREF file management in CAD
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and Google Earth
Working Conditions:
•In-office position only (no remote work)
•Office hours: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
•Must be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods
