Job Description
Design Engineer
Organizational Relationships:
This position reports to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
•
Create and maintain updated drawings of products
•
On NAS (internal storage device)
•
On website
•
Within shared office network
•
Participate in product development, applying discussions related to same to product designs and/or revisions
•
Apply knowledge of agency requirements into designs to achieve and/or maintain appropriate compliance. IE NSF, UL, CSA, et al.
•
Work with agencies to coordinate certification of new vendors or products.
•
Maintain current listing.
•
React if/when needed to resolve any compliance issues.
•
Create and upload files to CNC equipment.
•
Communicate with all levels of staff as needed.
•
Provide appropriate technical support- both internal and external- when needed.
•
Collaborate with Marketing staff to ensure accurate creation and maintenance of spec sheets.
•
Communicate with vendors- domestic & international- when needed.
•
Maintain knowledge of emerging technologies or capabilities which may be useful for future product development.
•
Respond to customer inquiries for MOD projects and maintain database related to same.
•
File conversion (CAD blocks, REVIT, etc.) Create functional CAD part models and drawings. File conversion (CAD blocks, REVIT, etc.)
•
Work with product development team and manage all the data needed for a successful launch of the product. Data needed: drawing, spec sheet, new product sheet, arrival date, photographs, certifications (if applicable)
•
Protect operations by keeping information confidential.
•
All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
