Duties and Responsibilities change with the seasons:
Blue Flame technicians repair propane equipment and install/upgrade propane appliances, tanks and systems. Their job is to handle the customer from initial inspection through the end of their service with Blue Flame. Technician must have a strong focus on safety and preventative maintenance.
- Follow code/jurisdiction requirements during installation or repair of propane systems
- Install, repair, upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain propane systems
- Operate crane truck, bobtail, trencher, trailers and other propane equipment
- Install, repair, upgrade, troubleshoot and maintain HVAC systems
- Provide timely and detailed service reports
- Operate vehicle and all equipment in safe and professional manner following all State and Federal laws
- Follow all company procedures and safety protocols
- Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization
- Maintain company vehicles, tools and equipment
- Perform company related maintenance of tanks, bulk plants, equipment, etc.
- On-call rotation for after-hour emergencies
- As necessary, make propane deliveries
- CDL B, ability to obtain
- HazMat and Tanker endorsement, or ability to obtain
- Driving experience
- Willing to obtain gas certifications, Gas fitter license
- Mechanically inclined
- Must be 21 years of age
- Clean driving history
- Clean Background Check
- Must be able to pass Random Drug tests
- Positive Attitude and Willing to work
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, pull, push equipment in propane environment. Minimum of 50 pounds.
- Work/Drive during weather conditions such as heavy rain, snow, ice, etc.
