Job Responsibilities:

- Geotechnical core logging (core recovery, RQD, strength, fracture identification)

- Geology quicklogs (lithology, formation, rock or soil type)

- Soils core logging (identification of sands, silt, clay component, density, particle size and shape)

- Point load (strength) testing of rock

- Sample collection and packaging

- Core photography

- Instrumentation installation (i.e., piezometers, TDR)

Requirements:

- Bachelor of Science Degree in geological or geotechnical engineering from a recognized university

- Strong technical, communication and problem-solving skills

- Able to work independently and with others

- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

- Willingness to travel domestically to various sites and to remote locations

Additional Information

A requirement of working for our client is that you are at least 18 years of age, legally entitled to work in the US without sponsorship (a copy of a valid work permit may be required) and have a valid driver's license.

To meet the physical demands required of some positions, candidates must be in good physical condition (i.e., can lift up to 50 lbs) and willing to work in all weather conditions. Clearance on pre-placement medical and drug and alcohol testing may be required.
