Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Division EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational health and safety, along with experience in training and development initiatives.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and accidents to prevent future occurrences.
- Prepare detailed reports on EHS performance metrics, incidents, and compliance activities for management review.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a safe working environment through effective communication and training programs.
- Stay updated on industry best practices related to occupational health and environmental safety.
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments at job sites and facilities.
- Provide EHS training and coaching to employees and supervisors to reinforce safe work practices.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the development and rollout of safety initiatives, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns.
- Collaborate with management and operations teams to continuously improve safety performance and compliance.- 2+ years of experience in an EHS or safety-related role (industrial, construction, or oil & gas experience preferred).
- Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
- Professional certifications (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHST, or similar) preferred.
- Familiarity with EPA regulations, OSHA standards, and workers' compensation law is essential.
- Strong skills in report writing and documentation related to safety protocols and incident investigations.
- Experience in conducting training sessions focused on EHS topics such as first aid, CPR, and occupational health practices.
