We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Division Controller to join our finance team. The Division Controller will play a critical role in building our new centralized, best-in-class accounting and reporting team to support the company's rapid growth and strategic objectives. They will be a key business partner to Stronghouse operational leadership and the executive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, GAAP accounting principles, and interpreting operational business drivers. This individual should have experience preparing financial statements, managing internal controls, assisting with budgeting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Oversee and manage all accounting functions, including financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance, fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, and leases.
Be a key point of contact and partner to operational leadership in interpreting business results and managing to optimize future performance according to budget and growth goals.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and KPI reporting.
Ensure accurate and timely divisional financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
Work closely with the FP&A function to drive an accurate and insightful budget and forecasting process.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.
Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required.
Train and mentor accounting staff to build a cohesive and effective team.
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in accounting, with time spent in a senior leadership role.
CPA certification and public accounting experience strongly preferred.
Experience supporting private equity-backed companies or similar environments experiencing a high rate of change.
Experience leading to centralization or build-out of an accounting function.
Proficiency in Acumatica or similar ERP is a plus.
