About Reliance Foundry
Reliance Foundry is an innovation-driven manufacturer with a legacy of engineering excellence and a bold outlook for the future. We design, produce, and support a wide range of products seen around the world. We are looking for a seasoned executive to join our leadership team and architect the next generation of our global supply chain.
The Opportunity: A Strategic Partner for Growth
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a pivotal leadership role for a mature professional whose career already speaks for itself. We are seeking a long-term strategic partner who measures success over years, not months, and who will be instrumental in scaling our company.
You will be the commercial and strategic backbone of our physical product operations, responsible for everything from our buy/make decisions, our international manufacturing strategy through to the gross margin on our multitude of BOM’s. You will be a key partner to Finance, Engineering, Marketing and Sales, providing the critical data and insights that drive business-wide profitability and competitiveness. We are a team that values growth, and we are looking for a leader who is open to professional coaching and comfortable with the challenge of elevating themselves and the entire leadership team.
What You Will Own & Influence
Global Manufacturing & Sourcing Strategy:
•Architect and lead our global sourcing strategies, helping to identify and manage a network of international manufacturing partners.
•Develop a forward-looking vision for our manufacturing footprint, anticipating shifts in global labor markets, trade policy, tariffs, and duties.
Commercial & Financial Operations:
•Own the product costing process, with direct responsibility for BOM pricing and gross margin analysis to support strategic decisions.
•Contribute directly to strategic planning, budgeting, and departmental P&L performance.
•Collaborate with Finance to ensure alignment on cost targets, inventory valuation, and pricing strategy.
Leadership, Mentorship & Process Excellence:
•Mentor and develop an established, high performing operations and sourcing team, fostering a culture of teamwork and growth.
•Provide strategic oversight for warehouse operations, inventory control, and fulfillment, empowering the team to drive system-driven improvements (e.g., Lean, 5S, barcoding/RFID).
•Champion ERP (NetSuite) workflow improvements for purchasing, receiving, and inventory replenishment/management to enhance efficiency and visibility.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
•You have a distinguished career with 10+ years in a sourcing or operations leadership role within a manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or global distribution organization.
•You have demonstrated success in vendor selection, negotiation, and international sourcing, with direct experience managing outsourced manufacturing partnerships. The aim is to have you mentor our staff in these types of partnerships.
•Your financial acumen is a core strength. You have direct, hands-on responsibility with part costing, pricing strategy, and BOM-level financial visibility.
•You possess a strong command of ERP systems; direct experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.
•You are an empathetic, human centered and effective leader with a proven track record of team development and mentorship.
•You are a long-term thinker who is passionate about finding the right balance between operational detail and strategic vision.
•Experience with steel, foundry, or other metals-based manufacturing and ISO frameworks is a significant asset.
