This Business Development position is defined as an integral Individual Contributor role in a sales organization that prioritizes collaboration and cross-team enablement. The fundamental role will be facilitating Parklane’s continued growth in the US market. Specifically, key Western and South Western locations (ie. CA, AZ, TX, NV). This is a ‘bull-by-the-horns’ position, designed specifically for an individual with ambitions of proactively and independently creating positive, transformative change within an organization that is already on a lightning-fast trajectory.
· Leverage Parklane’s consultative, solution-based sales strategy to drive qualified bidding opportunities across key U.S. markets.
· Identify and develop sales opportunities within Industrial, Commercial, Institutional (ICI), energy, and mission-critical sectors that align with Parklane’s strategic priorities and manufacturing capabilities.
· Conduct rigorous lead qualification, ensuring all mandatory fields are completed to the satisfaction of the Account Executive (AE)
· Serve as a trusted partner to the AE team, ensuring leads are well-positioned and supported for conversion throughout the sales lifecycle.
· Maintain and amplify Parklane’s position as the industry leader through value-driven dialogue and relationship-building with key stakeholders and prospects.
· Proactively identify and target high-potential customers in verticals such as Acoustic Consultants, OEMs, Architects, and Facility Owners.
· Employ a multi-channel prospecting strategy, including in-person meetings, referral-based introductions, and remote outbound efforts (e.g., email, phone, LinkedIn).
· Attend and engage in key industry events and client site visits across the region to foster relationships, elevate Parklane’s presence within strategic markets, and drive personal name recognition.
3. Feedback on Competitive Landscape and Industry Trends:
· Maintain up-to-date awareness of competitive dynamics, industry shifts, and emerging market trends in both existing key markets and potential future ones that could impact Parklane’s positioning or sales approach.
· Conduct ongoing market intelligence gathering to identify risks and opportunities within core customer verticals.
· Translate insights into actionable strategic recommendations, delivering them to sales leadership and the broader team to inform planning and execution while also bolstering team-wide sales enablement.
· Build and maintain strategic relationships with national-level Tier 1 accounts in Parklane’s key international-scale markets, such as data centers, mission critical facilities, and BESS.
· Act as the primary relationship owner for assigned Tier 1 accounts, driving engagement, trust, and long-term partnership opportunities.
Ancillary Duties that Support the Role would be as follows:
· Independently generate sales forecasting, KPI reporting, and CRM management, including weekly forecast updates, quarterly volume projections, budget reporting, and real-time lead tracking to support performance measurement and strategic decision-making.
· Contribute to Parklane’s online presence and collaborate with marketing to develop and execute omni-channel campaigns that support business development, including promotional content, digital engagement, and targeted outreach.
· Ideate on and lead client-facing engagement sessions.
· Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum 8+ years of direct business development and/or sales experience.
· Must be able to use Microsoft Office and have worked within a CRM for 3+ years.
· While it is not part of this role, previous experience closing sales is an asset.
· Experience using software tools and processes to perform remote sales outreach is an asset.
