The Desoto Group and Desoto Line Services is a rapidly growing, full-service EPC firm serving U.S. utilities and other customers. Desoto specializes in electrical construction, gas construction, site access, vegetation management, engineering, and incident and storm response. Desoto offers a wide array of construction services for the gas utility industry, including the installation, replacement, and maintenance of plastic and steel mains and service lines, meter settings, and regulator stations. The Director of Quality and Safety is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all quality and safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment across all construction sites and company operations. You will teach both aspects to prospective employees all the way to the most versed. Work hand in hand with the Superintendent and General Foreman to put the best product we can in the field on a daily basis.
· Work with the crews to make sure they stay compliant and safe on a daily basis
· Obtain all necessary qualifications to teach the work
· Ensure all work is completed to standards, policies, and procedures
· Coordinate and assist in critical tasks, like tie-ins and abandonments
· Verify training for new to experienced gas employees
· Ensure to track your training in eCompliance
· Monitor new hire on-the-job training and run onboarding
· Validate correctness of fusion checklists and monitor them for correctness
· Ability to interpret plan sets and maps
· Proficient operation of smart devices (phone, tablet, laptop)
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
· Strong understanding of all industry applicable rules, regulations, and requirements
· Ability to work outdoors in densely populated and remote areas
· Work while standing or sitting for several hours at a time
· Operate or safely work around heavy equipment and machinery
· Strong work ethic and ability to effectively lead teams of diverse individuals

Salary: $90,000+ per year, negotiable upon skill set, merit, and experience
