About This Job

FirstEnergy Foundation:

The FirstEnergy Foundation's contributions to local nonprofit organizations help strengthen the social and economic fabric of our communities. The Foundation’s giving priorities parallel FirstEnergy’s business interests and range from supporting key safety initiatives and promoting education and workforce and economic development to improving quality of life and addressing food and housing insecurity throughout our communities.

The Foundation believes that when basic human needs are met, people can more effectively pursue economic and educational opportunities, and communities are stronger. The Foundation invests in the human needs of food and housing insecurity. The Foundation also believes that access to a quality education helps break the cycle of generational poverty, contributes to business growth, and builds strong economies and the workforce of the future. The Foundation invests in education and job-readiness programs.

- Food – Reducing hunger and increasing the availability of healthy, nutritious meals

- Shelter – Helping people find safe, stable and long-term housing

- Energy – Ensuring access to reliable and resilient electricity

- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics – Building proficiency in STEM subjects that enable people to succeed in the global economy

- Workforce Readiness – Obtaining the basic skills and training needed to find and maintain quality employment

Backed by our vision to invest in transformative organizations that enhance the vitality, sustainability and diversity of the communities we serve, we support non-profit, tax-exempt organizations within the FirstEnergy operating companies' service areas, and where we conduct business.
