General Overview

The Director of Engineering is responsible for leading Engineering and operational improvements to optimize ticketing processes, enhance current technologies, and drive customer experience and revenue growth. This position requires extensive hands-on involvement, collaboration across departments, and leadership in building a high-performing engineering support team. All activities must align with company standards, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

•

Provide hands-on leadership for engineering teams across multiple projects of varying scope and complexity.

•

Identify and implement technology-specific solutions to streamline ticketing processes and reduce reliance on manual input.

•

Collaborate extensively with Operations, Business Development, IT, and other departments to achieve strategic goals.

•

Oversee the development, estimation, and approval of project budgets.

•

Evaluate contractor bids, proposals, and recommend contractors aligned with ProFrac Services' strategic objectives.

•

Lead initiatives to enhance current technologies for improved operational efficiency.

•

Build and develop an engineering support team to optimize customer experience and drive revenue growth.

•

Maintain and apply technical knowledge in hydraulic fracturing processes and technologies.

•

Provide technical guidance to various departments and lead problem-solving efforts for complex engineering challenges.

•

Promote innovative, growth-focused solutions while balancing operational and environmental considerations.

•

Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

•

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering

•

5 years of leadership and technical experience in hydraulic fracturing recommended.

•

Proven expertise in driving technological solutions tailored to industry-specific challenges.

•

Strong problem-solving skills with a track record of generating creative and impactful ideas.

•

Hands-on involvement in reviewing designs and providing technical direction.

•

Exceptional collaboration and interpersonal skills to work across departments effectively.

•

Ability to travel as needed and handle confidential information responsibly.

•

Proficient in relevant engineering software and systems.

•

A strong drive for operational excellence and organizational growth.

Mental And Physical Requirements

•

Able to read, speak and write English.

•

Using mathematics to solve problems.

•

Employees are regularly required to sit, walk and stand; climb up and down stairs;

•

Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to finger, handle, feel or operate standard office equipment; bending or stooping; squatting or crouching; kneeling; pushing or pulling; reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus.

•

Minimal safety hazards; general office working conditions.

•

Able to wear common protective or safety equipment such as safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hats when needed.

•

Activities may involve being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases.

•

Very good physical mobility and dexterity to inspect conditions of Trucking Assets (top, bottom, side, etc.), loading/unloading connections, etc.

•

Normal physical strength & fitness to handle conditions consistent with crude trucking field operations.

•

Able to work under stressful conditions at times.

•

Strong work ethics of integrity and honesty striving for excellence in all activities employing accompanying communication.

•

Dependability, reliability, fulfilling responsibilities.
