Provide vision and executive oversight for forecasting, modeling, quantitative research, and financial analysis supporting electric and water utilities.
- Lead electric supply strategy, including budget management, load forecasting, and wholesale/retail revenue optimization.
- Oversee formulation of electric rate inputs, including the Energy Rate Component (ERC), and broader rate-making analysis.
- Strategically manage the Integrated Resource Plan and long-term capacity planning, leveraging Demand Side Management programs and market-based contracts.
- Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies (e.g., hydrogen, storage, renewables) into strategic planning.
- Advise executive leadership on federal and state legislation, grant opportunities, tax policies, and regulatory impacts.
- Represent the utility in high-level RTO working groups and regulatory forums to ensure compliance and strategic positioning in finance, market operations, and resource adequacy.
- Direct Cost of Service analysis and guide its application in utility finance and rate design.
- Oversee development of rate tariffs and serve as lead executive for high-demand developments exceeding 4MW.
- Manage strategic relationships with rating agencies to maintain financial credibility and ensure capital access.
- Serve as executive backup to the Director of Accounting, providing oversight for financial reporting and budget planning when needed.
- Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration and ensure strategic alignment of utility objectives across divisions.
- Leads strategic initiatives to evaluate, adopt, and integrate AI/ML technologies into financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, report preparation, complex modeling, and economic evaluation.
- Strong understanding of ratemaking, Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) development, Regional Transmission Organization (RTO) structures, and utility regulations.
- Proven ability to manage external relationships, including rating agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-departmental initiatives within dynamic utility environments.
- An understanding of emerging financial technologies and the ability to translate innovation into scalable business value.
