The Director of Finance focus on supporting the budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance of ongoing construction and electrical service projects. This position will partner with all project managers in ensuring accurate project financial projections (PFPs) and both perform and lead financial analysis for the organization helping to provide timely information to allow business leaders to make effective decisions.
- Financial Forecasting & Project Financials:
- Lead the preparation of accurate and timely project financial forecasts, including revenue recognition, cost estimates, and cash flow projections.
- Monitor and analyze project performance, identify risks or deviations from budgets, and provide recommendations for corrective actions
- Budgeting & Financial Planning:
- Responsible for the annual budgeting process for the company and individual projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and objectives.
- Develop financial models and provide ongoing support for long-term financial planning, capital expenditures, and investment decisions
- Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to financial reporting and analysis across the organization.
- Technology Implementation:
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of financial management software and other technology tools that enhance reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and project financials.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Experience:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role within the construction or electrical services industry.- Proven experience in project financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control in a construction or services environment.
- Strong background in process improvement and implementing financial systems or software solutions.
- Skills:
- Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and project financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in financial management software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint Spectrum, Sage 300) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and manage a team.

The salary range for this position is $160,000 - $190,000 per year, which reflects a good-faith estimate based on market data and internal equity.
